Gas line plumbing in Magnolia

Magnolia homes from the 1940s to 60s were built with gas furnaces and water heaters, so most have a meter and a main run. Our gas work here is extensions: fireplaces, outdoor appliances, kitchen ranges and tankless heaters.

How we do gas line work, in detail

What we see in Magnolia

  • Most of Magnolia was built from the 1940s to the 1960s: single-storey ramblers and split-levels with the water heater in the garage or a utility room. Those garages are usually where a gas water heater or a tankless conversion goes.
  • Exposed hose bibs on the bluff take a beating from wind and winter. We replace frost-free bibs and add shut-offs so they can be isolated.
  • Discovery Park homes and the Village sit on the same Seattle Public Utilities supply as the rest of the city: soft Cascade water, which is kind to fixtures but still carries chlorine taste that a whole-house filter removes.

Also in Magnolia: tankless water heaters and water filtration. All plumbing in Magnolia.
